I can't really fault this product, but I'm disappointed in it because it doesn't actually stay put. The coverage on the bottom palm rest is nice, but the coverage on the keyboard area fits more like a placemat, There's a slight gap between the cover and the keys which make typing on it not difficult, but you have to try harder to hit the keys properly. Also, the tiny scrap of silicone under the trackpad is flimsy and doesn't stay put. The problem could be solved by putting a small amount of adhesive on it, but that would defeat the purpose.

I did entertain the thought of cutting the top part of it off and just using the bottom part (which is the real reason I need it), but I haven't figured out a proper way to cut the silicone to where it'll still stick by itself.

My suggestion is that if you don't want to spend thirty to forty bucks on a fancy cover, get this silicone skin. It's not bad for the price, but it could be better. Then again, that's why you'll have to... Read more

Its nice and it fits perfectly. The only negitive is that it collects so much lint and it hard to clean. So it's perfect; if you live in a plastic bubble.

I just took this product out of the packaging and spent about 15 minutes trying to get the labels for the letters on the cover to line up with the ones on the actual keys - not happening. I love having an orange keyboard, but since it is basically transparent, it is driving me crazy seeing a white letter "K" on an orange background with a black letter K outlined behind it. The letters/symbols don't match up (at least on my 13" regular Macbook).

It isn't affecting my typing too much, although it is making it a tad bit harder to hit the further away keys, but I feel I'll get used to this quickly. I like that it has silenced the keys some too, as this will make it easier to use in class. It is sticking well, so I feel I'll have far less dog hair under the keys.

But I know I'll find myself staring at the keys randomly thinking "Dear GOD why won't that G just cover that other letter G!"

This fits my 13" macbook pro that I bought this year (2011). It is easy to type with it on and I think it will do a great job at keeping crumbs and dog hair out of the keys. The symbols line up correctly too! When you use the backlight of the keys, they do glow through in a ghostly way but if you rely on looking at the keys this will not be good for you. If i look at the keys in low light with the backlight for more than a quick second it hurts my eyes. But since the letters are printed in white you can see them pretty well with the backlight off because of the light from the screen.

Personally, I'm very happy with this, just take into account how much u rely on looking at the keys when deciding to purchase this or one that is more transparent.

Like the case a lot but there is one thing I don't like which is the letters don't match up completely. Otherwise, it is durable, doesn't stick like rubber when you type. Make the letters match perfectly will make it a great product.

I bought an ASUS netbook in Sep 2009 and also bought the SquareTrade (ST) warranty with accidental damage for 3 years. At just under one year, the battery went dead - netbook shows it is charged, but the netbook will not even turn on with battery. ASUS would do NOTHING and their battery is not even stocked by ASUS. So, I turned to my ST warranty. I submited a claim and SquareTrade rejected it.

It turns out - batteries and chargers are NOT covered by ST. So, my dead netbook will not be fixed under the SquareTrade warranty. That info is not on this webpage (4Oct2010). It is a little misleading to talk about all of the "good things" and leave out the "minor detail" that two most likely parts to fail (battery and charger) are NOT covered!

I really like how easily they make it to file a claim. No hassles. When you call to file a claim, the first option on the machine is to file a claim or inquire about an existing claim. No need to listen to a long message before deciding which option to choose. This puts you immediately in touch with an actual person who handles the claim super quickly. Plus, when they receive the item from you, it doesn't take very long (maybe a day) before they agree that it isn't working. The check was sent out very quickly too. Gotta love this service.

I started signing up with Square Trade because of their reasonable prices. I was a bit nervous, since I've only used Best Buy's warranty service and never had tried a mail-in service before, but the difference in price was significant enough to take a chance with it.

I just filed a claim with Square Trade and received astoundingly good service. None of the nonsense that I'm used to from Geek Squad- e.g., waiting for hours at the Best Buy service counter for someone to pay attention to me, then being told the issue isn't covered, or it'll cost extra, it'll take 2-6 weeks to send the unit out for service, etc.

None of that crap when I dealt with Square Trade. To the contrary, I received INSTANT help, yes it's fully covered, INSTANT e-mail labels for the return, great response.

I'll never use Geek Squad again. I'm a Square Trade fan now. Seriously- these guys are the best.
